The 60^th Annual Chamber Banquet of the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will take place Thursday, February 25^th at 6:00 pm in the Heber Springs Community Center. This year marks the milestone diamond anniversary of both the banquet and the Chamber of Commerce which was established in 1956. The diamond anniversary also provides the theme for the evening’s event.  Along with a catered dinner, there will be a live auction and a special keynote speaker.

Some of the items that will be auctioned off include a five (5) night stay at Serenity Vacation Rental located in the Ozark Foothills overlooking beautiful Greers Ferry Lake with a round of golf for four at Tannebaum Golf Resort or Mountain Ranch Golf Club, custom printed Heber Springs City Street sign and a KFFB advertising package.

 Jeff Moore, the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) will be the keynote speaker for the evening. Mr. Moore is a seasoned multi-channel creative director and marketing strategist with more than 25 years of combined advertising agency and corporate marketing management experience. Over the span of his career, Jeff has created and directed work for Fortune 500 brands such as Bank of America, PepsiCo, Starbucks and Time Warner. In addition, he has more than a decade of corporate brand leadership and marketing communications experience in mass, digital, direct and event marketing for companies such as Transamerica and Windstream. Combining an innate vision to see the big picture with the hands-on experience necessary to create compelling, brand-congruent messaging, Moore has proven to be a tremendous asset to companies in search of innovative ways to execute go-to-market strategies that lead to revenue growth.

Making Social Media Social: Facebook and Instagram

With Heber Springs boasting multiple recreation activities and a great base of community and regional events such as Springfest, Fireworks Extravaganza, and the Cardboard Boat races, business owners have an amazing opportunity to make these events inclusive for community members and tourists through social media platforms. Facebook and Instagram are old hat for some and new tools for others, but one thing is for sure, most of us could do a better job of making our social media truly social. In this interactive session, participants will be guided through a brief use of the tools available on Facebook and Instagram. We will also discuss how to make the most of the experiences and interactions and events and in daily operations. The examples, demos, and informational pieces that we will review will help to build your box of tricks to engage current and potential customers. Please bring login information for your social media accounts.
