ZEKE & LIZZY’S SEAFOOD AND STEAKHOUSE TO BE FEATURED ON AMERICA’S BEST RESTAURANTS

HEBER SPRINGS, AR: - Local restaurant Zeke & Lizzy’s Seafood And Steakhouse will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in mid-October 2023.

America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on October 17th  Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Sherrye and DeWitt Ginn about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.

After a career in the medical industry, DeWitt further honed his long interest and talent in hospitality and cooking after Sherrye gifted him classes at a culinary school for their anniversary one year.  The couple moved to Heber Springs in November 2022 and opened Zeke and Lizzy’s the following month.

The 1950s concrete-block building that houses the restaurant has two dining rooms: one the couple calls the ‘Heber Springs’ room, with local art on the walls that is available for purchase; the other, the 'Louisiana Room’, reflects the couple’s background and personal history. The simply furnished dining areas have tables with checkered tablecloths, flower arrangements, and twinkle lights for atmosphere.

The menu offers a from-scratch local menu that includes seafood and Louisiana-inspired specialties, such as crab cakes, short ribs, and “any fish of the day”, says Dewitt. He also adds that his steaks “are the best around.”

“We buy local as much as we can,” says Sherrye. “Sometimes we buy specialty bread from a local bakery. We get microgreens from a small farm. We try to do everything locally.”

The Ginns are also proud of their staff.

“We’re very fortunate; we’ve got a great team here, both back of the house and front of the house,” Sherrye says. “They love their jobs, they love working here. We serve delicious food in a quirky looking hole-in-the-wall building. It just kinda all fits together.”

America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Tuesday October 17th from 9 am to noon CST.  The press is invited to attend. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at .
