On March 16th, Flave Carpenter, of Entergy Arkansas, Inc., presented a $1000 grant to the Heber Springs Area Chamber Ambassador Program. The Entergy micro-grant program supports initiatives in the areas of arts and culture; community improvement/enrichment; economic development, education/literacy, environment and healthy families. This grant will be used for Community and Economic leadership development workshops for the Chamber Ambassadors.
Chamber Ambassadors represent the Heber Springs Area and are goodwill representatives for the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. They project a positive image for the organization they represent as well as for the Chamber. Ambassadors perform a wide variety of duties in the Chamber, but their main function is to help promote the Chamber, recruit and welcome new members to the Chamber and make Chamber events successful and enjoyable for our members.
Chamber Ambassadors enjoy many benefits including enhanced career development, increased exposure for their business or organization, expanded base of contacts and clients, and special recognition for the Ambassador and his or her organization.
