On April 8th, Wetzel Stark, Lance Wright and Jim Robbins of The Rotary Club of Heber Springs were honored to present a special "Lillian Swartz Pearce Grant" to The Other Side, during their fish fry fundraiser in Wilburn, Arkansas. Rotary's Special Grant
Committee had determined that The Other Side would be one of the local
non-profit organizations to receive a portion of the funds recently bequeathed
to the Rotary Club through the Estate of Lillian Swartz Pearce.
Organized in 2014, The Other Side Ministry is a local mission located at the
old Wilburn School campus, where their goal is to house between 40 and 50
men. Their mission is based on the principles taught by Jesus Christ,
reaching out and offering hope to those struggling with drug and alcohol
addiction. Further information on volunteering at, or making a tax
deductible contribution to The Other Side is available by calling 501-362-2535,
or contact them by mail at P.O. Box 1142, Heber Springs, Arkansas, 72543, and
you can view their facebook page at: The Other Side, A Local
Mission. Shown accepting the grant from Rotarian Wetzel Stark on
behalf of The Other Side were staff members Stephanie White and Jay Cupit.
