01/10/2024 02:43 PM
Dear nonprofit friends,

I am excited to let you know that on January 10 Cleburne County Community Foundation will be accepting applications for our 2024 Giving Tree grants.  Applications are due February 15. Go to www.arcf.org/givingtree to review grant guidelines. Please share this email with your networks!

Who’s Eligible?
Any 501c3 nonprofit, school or government agent in Cleburne County may apply. Grants typically range from $500 to $2,500.
Requests for all types of grants will be considered, but the Community Foundation is especially interested in awarding grants that address food security, early literacy, health and greatest overall need and at this time, we are NOT considering grant requests from organizations outside of Cleburne County, even though services may be provided in this area. Contact us to find out if and how you may qualify for Early Literacy or Food Security funding.

Understanding the Application Process for Nonprofits
For nonprofits applying, within the Giving Tree application you can now request “capacity building support” or “program/project support.” What’s the difference?
· Program/project grants are intended to help you deliver services to your clients. This is the most common kind of grant we have been awarded in the past. For example, this could include offering dental screenings at a school-based health center, providing food to serve more food pantry clients, adding tutoring services to an after-school program, etc.
· Capacity building grants are a newer option, intended to help your organization become more effective in how you administer your work. For example, this could include providing training for staff, board, or volunteers; hiring a consultant to help lead a strategic planning process or create a fundraising plan; developing an evaluation system to track the effectiveness of your program, etc.

If you need help deciding which type of support is right for your organization, or if you would like more information about the early literacy and food security grants, please give me a call.

Our local grantmaking committee will select the grants to be awarded in our area and will notify you in April.

Feel free to give me a call at 501-365-6736 if you have questions about our grant guidelines or application process.
