Rep. John Payton honored at State Chamber Lunch
State Representative John Payton was honored at the Arkansas State Chamber/AIA Door to Door Lunch on Thursday, September 19th at Harding University. The meeting was held in conjunction with the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce. Rep. Payon was presented with the 2017 Business Matters Leadership Awards, recognizing legislators who supported positive business initiatives during the 91st General Assembly.
Rep. John Payton is serving his third term in the Arkansas
House. He represents District 64 which includes portions of Cleburne, Baxter,
Stone, Searcy and Marion.He is a graduate of Wilburn High School and attended the Missouri Auction School. He is an auctioneer and auto dealer for Payton Chevrolet-Buick-GMC in Heber Springs. He is a father of three and resides in Wilburn with his
wife, Rhonda.
Other recipients of the award included Sen. Jonathan Dismang, Rep. Joe Farrer and Rep. Jeremy Gillam.
