Heber Springs Downtown Network recognizes the importance of our downtown as the "Heart of our Community." We are working with small business owners and community leaders to revitalize our downtown, while at the same time, keeping true to our culture and preserving the local historic charm that makes downtown a great place to live, work, shop and dine.
The Mission of the Heber Springs Downtown Network is:
Promoting economic vitality while preserving the charm of Historic Downtown Heber Springs. We hope you will support us on April 6, to enable us to fulfill our mission and accomplish even more in 2017!
Some of the Current and Future Downtown projects planned for 2017:
• Working in conjunction with the Kickstart Quality of Life Committee on downtown beautification projects
• Working with the Branding and Marketing Committee to host the "Spring into Business" workshop, aimed at identifying needs and supporting local businesses. Planning future workshops.
• Completed the first of several planned murals next to the Jitterbug Coffee House. Next planed mural next to Subway, depicting the history of Heber Springs.
• Hosting the "Spring Fling" Sales Event in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce's Springfest planned for April 28 & 29.
• Similar shopping events planned for this summer and fall
• Christmas Open House as well
• Railing plans for Main Street sidewalk across from the courthouse between 3rd and 4th Streets.
• Working with Heber Springs High School's EAST Lab, to develop a downtown business and building inventory, to be used as a tool for promoting the economic development of our downtown area.
• The Heber Springs Downtown Network will continue working with local businesses, providing support through services offered by the Main Street Arkansas program.

WHAT IS ARKANSASGIVES?
On April 6, let’s join together to grow the love for our state’s nonprofit organizations. Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., we’re challenging all Arkansans to give to the charities of their choice. During this one-day online event, each donation you give will help your favorite nonprofit organizations earn bonus dollars and prizes from Arkansas Community Foundation; the more a nonprofit raises, the more of the bonus dollars it will receive.
Dozens of Arkansas charities will participate, including Heber Springs Downtown Network!
ArkansasGives is one day, one easy way to make your charitable dollars stretch farther and shower your favorite nonprofits with support.
WHY GIVE ON ARKANSASGIVES DAY?
You can get more bang for your charitable buck on ArkansasGives Day. During this one-day event, each dollar you give will help Heber Springs Downtown Network qualify for additional bonus dollars and prizes from Arkansas Community Foundation. Your gift can have an extra impact when you give on April 6!
Your gift enables us to further our mission, and at the same time, helps us win additional cash prizes. ArkansasGives is a celebration of giving, but it’s also a friendly competition among nonprofit organizations. Prizes will be awarded to the organizations that receive the most dollars overall and the most individual contributions. Throughout the day, we’ll be able to track our progress on the leaderboard at ArkansasGives.org.

Go to ArkansasGives.org to make a gift to Heber Springs Downtown Network between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on April 6. You’ll be able to search for us in the list of participating nonprofits and indicate that you want your gift to support us.
Help spread the word and encourage your friends to give, too. Share a message on social media, send an email or make a phone call. Remember – the more donations we receive, the more bonus dollars we qualify for and the greater our chances of winning the overall leaderboard!
