FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OAKDALE, PA – (June 2, 2016) - TIGG, LLC announced today it has signed a multi-year equipment and media supply contract with the city of Issaquah, WA to remove PFOS (Perfluorooctane sulfonate) contaminant from their drinking water. The city will install TIGG’s proven CP-20K-10 deep bed, dual vessel skid adsorption system with TIGG’s 5DC virgin coconut granular activated carbon media to meet the treatment objectives.

The project is being fast-tracked by Bret Heath, Director of Public Works Operations and Emergency Management for Issaquah. “After a detailed assessment of the technologies and suppliers available, the city of Issaquah chose TIGG”, said Heath. The system is scheduled to begin operating in June 2016.

John Mickler, TIGG VP and General Manager, said that this long-term agreement “really underscores the trust that the City of Issaquah has placed in our team to protect their drinking water”. Mickler continued, “With the PFOA and PFOS drinking water health advisories issued by the EPA earlier last month, we are seeing progressive water suppliers, like the City of Issaquah, taking the lead to ensure the safety of the people they serve”.

Since 1977 TIGG has provided a broad range of activated carbon adsorption equipment, systems, filtration media, and services for the removal of trace contaminants from air, water, process liquids, and vapors. Headquartered in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, TIGG builds standard and custom equipment at its 155,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Heber Springs, Arkansas.

TIGG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Spencer Turbine Company, which is recognized as a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of highly specialized blowers, gas boosters, and central vacuum systems. For more information, visit www.tigg.com and www.spencerturbine.com.
