The 2018 Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Sandy Beach on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake. Gates open at 10 am for a fun filled day on the beach before the festivities begin. Partygoers will arrive by boat and by car to enjoy food vendors, and live music beginning at 7:30 p.m. with the 106th Army Band Charlie Rock.

At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays in Arkansas will light the skies above the lake, as thousands of breathtaking fireworks are choreographed to music broadcast on Timeless 106.1 FM KFFB. Beautifully mirrored in the lake’s surface, the show is equally magical whether viewed by boat or on the shore, and each year’s Fireworks Spectacular is better than the last. 

The Fireworks Extravaganza is free, although there is $10 parking fee for those traveling by car.

We know He endured (Hebrews 12: 2), and we are invited to emulate His model of endurance. How did Jesus make it through a bad day?
His model will encourage us in making it through our bad day!

2018 World Championship Cardboard Boat Races 

The theme for the 2018 World Championship Cardboard Boat Races is BOAT WARS (a “Star Wars” –like theme). Race participants will stretch the limits of their ingenuity to design boats that represent their favorite

character, vessel, transport or war machine. Whether the choice is Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, a Storm Trooper, A Speeder Bike or the Millennium Falcon, these cardboard crafts and costumes are sure to be amazing.

The Races will begin at 10 am on Saturday July 28th at Sandy Beach on Greers Ferry Lake in Heber Springs, AR. Boat races will begin at 10:00 a.m., with timed heats for both children and adults. The Pride of the Fleet Prize will be

awarded to the boat that best combines innovative engineering with artistic design, while the Captain’s Award goes to the team with the greatest spirit and crowd involvement. And of course, the Titanic Award is reserved for

the boat with the most dramatic sinking. There’s plenty of additional fun planned for the day, with a treasure dig, watermelon eating contest, and a volleyball tournament all on the agenda. Enjoy the spectacular 

surroundings of Heber Springs, a jewel of a town located just 60 miles north of Little Rock, on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains.

The Annual Old Soldiers Reunion in Heber Springs will be held August 2nd thru the 4th. The parade will be on Thursday August 2nd. Line up will be at Harps parking lot @ 5:30 p.m. with the parade starting @ 6:00 p.m. 
Prizes will be awarded to the following winners: 1st place $500. 2nd place $350 and 3rd place $250. This year's theme is "United We Stand" There is no entry fee.

The 67th Cleburne County “Single Parent Scholarship” Pageant August 4th, 2018 Teen Queen wins $250 & Miss Queen wins $1,000.00 Pageant Entry Fee: $55.00 includes Beauty, Photo contest & side awards & one Adult entry.
