Recently, Entergy presented a $1000 grant to the 2018 Chamber Champions for their leadship development initiative.
The Chamber Champions represent the Heber Springs Area and are goodwill representatives for the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. These Champions are usually the most outgoing, pro-active employees in their organization. They project a positive image for the organization they represent as well as for the Chamber.
The primary goals of the Chamber Champion program is to retain current Chamber members, recruit new members and reactivate past members. In pursuit of this goal, Champions increase members’ knowledge about Chamber programs, services, marketing tools, and other benefits available to them.
The Champion program also offers professional development opportunities, which are funded by the Entergy grant. Several professional skills workshops are offered each year along with special learning sessions with local and state government officials.
Each month, the Champions nominate two Chamber
Members for the Member Spotlight. The selected members received over $500
in advertising and promotion from the Chamber including radio advertising
provided by 101.9 The Lake, a business feature on the Chamber Facebook page, a
special feature on the Chamber e-newsletter and a display in the Chamber
