Springfest 2019

Springfest 2019

A Weekend  of Family Fun During Springfest

Swing into spring at the 32nd annual Springfest on May 17 & 18. This free festival is packed top to bottom with great family fun, starting at noon on Friday and continuing all day Saturday. Festival home base is Spring Park, with expanded attractions and activities on the Courthouse Square downtown, and additional events throughout Heber Springs.
At the festival, you’ll find an extensive arts and crafts show, featuring handmade items like jewelry, soap, leatherwork, furniture and toys. You’ll also enjoy classic festival-food favorites, from corndogs and onion blossoms to shaved ice and kettle corn. Live music and other entertainment from local and regional names keeps things hopping at the Spring Park Band Shell and the Courthouse Square stage. On the Square, crafters will also demonstrate the art and skill behind the creation of their wares.
Nature-loving kiddos will have plenty to explore at Springfest, including pony rides, a petting zoo and the immersive butterfly experience at the Butterfly Pavilion, sponsored by First Electric Cooperative. Tickets to the Pavilion are $3, which includes a butterfly glider.
Friday afternoon, a “Tribute to Our Heroes” will honor the lives of those lost in service to our county, honoring fallen officers, fire fighters and EMS workers. This ceremony will begin at
5:30 pm with a presentation of the colors and the reading of the names of those lost in service through the years.
The Mountain Top Volkswagen Club will sponsor the 13th Annual Volkswagen Car Show in Spring Park, where Volkswagen enthusiasts can discover collectible cars from around the state or display their own restorations.

A Dog Contest benefiting the Heber Springs Humane Society at the Band Shell on Saturday afternoon and the Springfest Pageant in the Spring Park Amphitheater on Saturday night will help close out the festival. More events and festival attractions are being added daily!
