Elizabeth Eckford, member of the historic Little Rock Nine, will visit ASU-Beebe to share her experience from the Civil Rights movement of the 1950's and how it shaped the rest of her life.  She will also share about her recently released book The Worst First Day: Bullied While Desegregating Central High.

Ms. Eckford's presentation will be Tuesday, February 27, at 1 p.m. in the Owen Center Auditorium.

On March 2nd & 3rd, 2018, The Rotary Club of Cleburne County Arkansas will host the Annual ANGLERS EXPO & OUTDOOR SHOW, featuring a huge variety of vendors, special events and displays in the fishing, hunting, camping, and general outdoor activities. The expo will be held in Heber Springs, Arkansas in the Community Center. This year we are also featuring several musical guests.  Check our website out for complete details.

The Ziggy Pepper Chili & Salsa Cookoff will be held at the  Heber Springs Community Center on Saturday, March 3rd 2018.

Cash Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers in Red Chili, Salsa & Homestyle Chili

The winner in each division qualifies for the International Chili Society Challenge Reno, Nevada In October

Actor Jeffrey Combs, known for his roles in Re-Animator, The Frighteners, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, will perform a one-man theatrical production as Edgar Allan Poe.

Randy Zook is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Arkansas. Prior to taking the helm of the State Chamber/AIA, Randy was the Deputy Director of Administration and Finance for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. For 34 years, he worked for Atlantic Envelope Company of Atlanta, Georgia, a $200-million manufacturer of custom-printed envelopes and business products, serving as President and CEO of the company from 1989 to 2004. He is currently serving on the boards of KIPP Schools in Helena-West Helena, Economics Arkansas and McGehee Farm & Real Estate Co. He and his wife, Diane, have three grown children and five above-average grandchildren.

Hall of Honor Award

Hall of Honor recipients are selected by past presidents of the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  These honorees are people who have greatly contributed to and served our community.
